Issue Position

Senator West believes Rural America has too long been ignored by the Trump Administration and that we must do more for rural America.

Rural Americans should not be penalized or lack services because of their choice to live in rural America.

Royce proposes:

*Increasing funding for colleges and universities to offer online degree programs and expanding higher education in rural communities.
*Expanding healthcare access and providing the staff and support that are needed by rural care providers.
*Improving internet access in rural areas for economic and educational opportunities that reliable, high speed internet service provides.
*Provide federal tax incentives for companies that relocate and provide good paying jobs in depressed rural communities
*More federal pass through dollars for states to help enhance life in rural communities
*A major effort to reopen and preserve existing rural hospitals
*Work to ensure family farmers and ranchers have a truly competitive marketplace for their products, and that the American farmer and rancher, not huge agricultural conglomerates, dictate agricultural policy in this country
